Happiness is real

It was a warm Sunday afternoon at the Lodge on Monte Sano with people running around everywhere getting last minute items completed as 4:00 drew closer and closer. I walked in and was greeted by Devon the groom, already in his tux, looking a little nervous but completely ready to make Madison his wife. A few minutes later, I see this dazzling redhead with her hair up in curlers coming to let me know she was over on the other side of the Lodge getting ready. Today's wedding was no different than most weddings I have had the opportunity to shoot, complete blissful chaos. ;) Being a photojournalistic wedding photographer, these are the best times to capture great images that tell the story of the day.

Madison and Devon met through mutual friends the summer before the 11th grade and have been inseparable ever since! Their high school best friends were the Maid of Honor and Best Man. I really enjoyed getting to meet those two and getting some scoops on the bride and groom. One of the greatest things about being a photographer is seeing what so many don't get to see. Through the chaos of their special day, the bride and groom shined brilliantly and you could feel the love they have for each other. The tears of happiness running down Devon's cheek as he saw Madison in her dress for the first time. The holding hands and saying vows in front of all the people they adore and love the most. The amazing first kiss as husband and wife. The love, laughter, and dancing with friends and family all tell the story of the day as well as the story of two beautiful people who have decided to make each other their one and only.

Devon and Madison have the prettiest little ginger haired baby girl you have ever seen and she has them wrapped around her finger! What a sweet little delight she was with her basket of flowers and then dancing at the reception before giving up to nap time!

Madison and Devon, it was an honor being your photographer. I can't wait to capture more memories for you!
